In response to the rising industrial demand following technical innovation, the JEMIC has been actively conducting R & D activities on new standards, measuring instruments, testing systems and measuring techniques, etc. for supplying highly reliable standards to industries. The achievements of these R & D efforts are made public at international conferences, meetings of technical societies featuring metrology, domestic measurement committee meetings, etc.
They are also reported as measurement information in the JEMIC's publications, such as the JEMIC Technical Reports and the JEMIC Measurement Circle News.
The JEMIC's daily R & D activities and technical consultation service have so far resulted in some 250 inventions and the JEMIC has secured 120 industrial properties, including patents.
